Exciting Upgrades at the Club
Thanks to Community Foundation Grey Bruce!
We’re thrilled to share that two important improvements have been made to the Wiarton Propeller Club, thanks to the generous support of Community Foundation Grey Bruce through their capital grant program.
New Sign Installed
Our old sign has been replaced with a clear, welcoming one that proudly displays Wiarton Propeller Club. No more confusion—now everyone can find us easily for events, meals, and gatherings.
Soffit & Fascia Repairs Complete
We’ve also completed much-needed repairs to the roof edges to keep out birds, squirrels, and other pests. This helps make our building safer and more comfortable for all, especially seniors and families.
These upgrades support our mission to provide a safe, accessible, and welcoming space for the community.
A heartfelt thank you to Community Foundation Grey Bruce for helping us invest in the future of our club!

Thank You to Community Foundation Grey Bruce for Supporting Sustainability at the Wiarton Propeller Club!
We are incredibly grateful to Community Foundation Grey Bruce for awarding us a grant that allowed us to take a big step forward in our commitment to environmental sustainability.
With their support, we were able to purchase reusable glassware and china, replacing the disposable paper and Styrofoam products previously used at our events. This upgrade directly addresses key environmental concerns by:
Reducing waste generated by the club
Cutting down on landfill use
Lowering the environmental impact of single-use item production and disposal
Beyond the environmental benefits, this project also supports community vitality by improving the dining experience for our members and guests. Events at the Wiarton Propeller Club now offer high-quality, eco-friendly options that reflect our values and long-term vision.
This initiative primarily serves the community of Wiarton and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, positively impacting club members, event attendees, and the broader community through visible, lasting changes.
We thank Community Foundation Grey Bruce for believing in our project and investing in a cleaner, greener future for our club and our community.
Bruce Peninsula community organizations received a generous boost in funding at the Community Foundation Grey Bruce (CFGB) fall granting ceremony in Owen Sound.
A total of approximately $271,000 in grants for capital funding and community projects were distributed among 49 charities and not-for-profits from various regions.
The Wiarton Propeller Club received a capital grant of just over $14,000 to address their leaking roof. Their application emphasized the importance of this project not only for safety but also for the continuation of their community fund-raising efforts.
Since its inception in 1994, Community Foundation Grey Bruce has disbursed a total of $38 million in grants to local charities, with $722,000 going toward grants, scholarships, and bursaries by the end of 2018. These efforts aim to bring about positive change throughout Grey Bruce. The next general grants deadline is scheduled for April 15, 2019.
